The Pedal Putter is a mock bicycle muffler from the 1950's (see pic of original catalogue listing).

Mounts to rear axle.
Nylon lever springs against the spokes to produce a loud throaty engine sound.
Lever flips to the side to disengage sound.

No box. 
Some scrapes and scratches from bouncing around in storage for 60 years.
End cap is dented.
Includes instruction paper in delicate condition.
